Out of the UnknownThis was a series of science fiction plays. I have little memory of the plays themselves but I remember clearly the theme music from 1971 and the title sequence. The music especially was very haunting. The clip can now be found on YouTube. If you can't find this or you would like to see another version of it then you can email me and I can email it to you. The theme was written by a French composer named Roger Roger and is from his album Grands Travaux. It wasn't written for Out Of The Unknown but is a stock library music cue titled Profondeurs (Lunar Landscape). The eerie but beautiful theme was played on an Ondes Martenot, an electronic instrument similar to a theremin, but more advanced. The music was also used in the last episode of The Prisoner TV series and is available on one of 3 CDs of music from The Prisoner (on the Silva Screen label). go to the beginning of this site |
